During his early childhood, he was awakened spiritually to the existence of the mystical world after suffering a near-death experience loitering between life and death in a hospital. He also became aware of his talent in painting around this time, polishing his painting skills and winning prizes at many art exhibitions while immersing himself in philosophy books by Sartre etc. and knowledge of Buddhism in his youth. The turning came when, as a company employee, a divine revelation came to him when he visited Matsushima (one of the three famous sights of Japan) on a business trip, whereupon he made a snap decision to go independent as a professional artist at age 50. His painting style underwent a complete change then, establishing him as an “extradimensional artist”. His unique expressions of the universe appeal to many art fans around the world.
